Behind the Site
Sandra Cisneros is a poet so the theme is perfect. The theme is that of old paper and an old fashioned pen. I chose this theme because it looks like it was inspired by writing and Sandra is a writer. The art work, in the art tab, all resemble Sandra because of the Hispanic traits. I chose the first photograph because it had a poncho, maracas, and other things that are important to Mexican culture. the second is a self portrait from a famous Mexican painter, Frida kahlo. Frida was very similar to Sandra. The third picture resembles an important Mexican holiday, El Dia de Los Muertos. The three songs are from the same person on purpose. Jenni Rivera fought for the rights of Latina women. her music reflects what she feels just like Sandra's poetry reflects what she feels.
